You know, The Mentalist has a female “Watson” roll, with all kinds of subtle UST, but never once have they hooked up. The fans are dying for it to happen, but it hasn’t, it doesn’t, and it probably never will. As much as a ship it, I kind of like that it’s strictly a sub-text thing. I like their working relationship. Anyway, I just thought I’d point out that a successful tv show has pulled it off before, so maybe this Sherlock thing will too.
